We did it! Thanks to your amazing generosity we have smashed our target to raise £1 for every day of Nick's wonderful life: 18,284 days. Every additional donation now feels even more precious- if only we could have had more days with him. 

Nick loved the sea. Windsurfing, scuba diving, surfing, open water swimming, sailing, coasteering, kayaking, wildlife watching and paddle boarding. He was happy on and in the water.

He was a force of nature and for him, the strongest winds and biggest waves were a challenge to be relished.

He has taught me and the girls to enjoy the sea without fear and we have shared so many happy times together. 

He would have loved the idea that we raised this money in tribute to him and that it will support the vital work of the RNLI. I sometimes imagine Nick in his retirement- that we might have moved to live by the sea and that he would have been a brilliant RNLI lifeboat man. With his waterproofs, craggy face and a grey beard.
